Scotland's Organic Action Plan

Scottish Government and Scotland Food and Drink collaboratively launch the first funded Scottish Organic Action Plan 2026-2029.

We are delighted to share that last week Scottish Government and Scotland Food and Drink collaboratively launched the Scottish Organic Action Plan 2026 – 2029. You can download the plan on the Scotland food and drink website link here.

The plan was developed through a collaborative, industry-led approach, supported by the Scottish Government and sets clear priorities to scale up production, meet demand, and support a profitable, sustainable future for organic food and farming in Scotland - strengthening our global reputation while contributing to net zero and biodiversity goals.

There is also a newly developed film promoting the organic sector which features ÒR-ganic, Connage Highland Dairy and Black Isle Brewery, all SOPA members. You can watch the hero film here.

We look forward to being able to provide you with rollout details of the plan across our communities as soon as we can. If you have any views or wish to get involved, please do let us know.
