Reminder for completing your SAF

There are some important things to remember when completing your 2023 SAF on the Scottish Government Rural Payments Portal.

Firstly the deadline is 15 May.

Remember to declare your holding is fully or partially organic.

If you have a current funding contract for organic conversion or maintenance, remember to claim the organic area on each LPID field.  We recommend that farmers and their agents cross reference the approved Schedule of Works contract as well as the organic Producers Operations Sheet that shows the areas that are approved by SOPA to be farmed organically.  If you don't claim this area you will not receive your organic funding.  Remember organic funding is paid annually in arrears.

Finally, your up to date valid organic certificate and the Producer’s Operations Sheet (POS) will need to be uploaded into the Supporting Documents portal.

If you need a copy of your organic certificate and/or POS please check your email inbox as it will have been emailed to you by your OF&G (Scotland) Certification Officer. Only if you cannot find it, you can email certification@sopa.org.uk with your SOPA Member Number and request a copy.

If you are in your first year of conversion you may not have a complete POS, in which case you should upload the Letter of Confirmation you received from OF&G (Scotland) Certification team.

We cannot promise to be able to issue certificates and/or POS by 15th May so please do check your email inbox before you place a request for a copy.
