SOPA Organic Open Day 12th August
12th August 2008Ted and Sharon Baker at Windshiel Farm, Duns, Berwickshire will host an organic open day on the 12th August with a farm walk and a BBQ of Windshiel organic meat.
The farm walk starts at 1.30pm looking at research trials in P supply in organic systems.
We will also look at the organic layers and the on-farm processing (butchery) unit.
We will discuss organic certification issues, practical management, setting up new enterprises and marketing options available to farmers.
There is a wide variety of topics and plenty of things to interest everyone. All are invited to stay after the farm walk and enjoy the social gathering, but bookings are essential for catering purposes.
