Scotland’s Good Food Nation Plan Consultation Open

ScotGov are currently consulting on the first national Good Food Nation Plan which is a requirement of the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022. It is intended that the plan sets out the Scottish Governments goals for food policy and how these will be attained.

The Good Food Nation Plan is a hugely important piece of work as it will be key to delivering healthy food to the nation in times when we have seen food security threats and are reminded that healthy, nutritious food sustains us and allows us to thrive.  And to be delivered robust supply chains are crucial.  Organic is mentioned in the document, and we recognise that there are opportunities and a significant role for organics to play too.

Please follow the links below to read the Good Food Nation Plan and consultation overview and let Jo Barron, SOPA Member Services Policy Lead, know if you have any input to the questions posed within the document that you would like included in the SOPA response.
