Recommended in organic systems to aerate soils - but timing of operations is critical! Ensure soil is not too wet. Recommended time of year is spring, on an annual or 2-year basis. Note - operation is very slow. Experience also recommends a spiral arrangement of tines for a consistent 'rolling' effect, rather than jumping over stones or humps.
